Micromax A200 Canvas Turbo Mini – Specs and Pics Leak

This phone is also built on a chipset from MediaTek and yes it’s a Quad Core chip but it’s not MT6589.

The Micromax A200 Canvas Turbo Mini is based on the MT6582 chipset which is a 1.3 Ghz Quad Core chip. This Cortex A7 chip comes with a Mali-400 MP2 GPU clocked at 500 mHz. This cipset also supports R8 HSPA+/TD-SCDMA, Wi-Fi, FM, Bluetooth, GPS.

Check the Wikipedia page of MediaTek for more info.

Operation System

This phone runs on Android (duh!).

Jokes apart, the phone runs Android 4.2.2 out of the box but it is expected to receive the Android 4.4 update soon.

Screen Resolution

The phone will have a screen resolution of 720p i.e 1280×720. This can be proved by looking into the desc.txt file of the device firmware.

Official Name

For checking the official name of the device I looked into the bootanimation and what I found was really very interesting. I was actually shocked and I had to double check that I was working on the right firmware files. I repeated whole process once again and it was confirmed.

It is the Micromax A200 Canvas Turbo. But what about the tag Mini?

Well, after looking at the tech specs again I was sure this device is supposed to be the Micromax A200 Canvas Turbo Mini.

The build.prop file already confirms the model number.
